Haiku - Work
|

|
fresh-carved turkey meal on a dish instead of plastic I sneak it upstairs. with best intentions you wake each morning to write a soulful novel state of emergency but not at my company no snow day for me why this urgent need to be the boss's favorite? it won't make me whole parking in the snow coworker sees my bumper sticker and walks past, scowling What does it mean when you ask me what I'll do today and I can't explain? Failed to change the world. Instead, I try to write it. Does writing change it? clench in the back fog in the belly - and still not finished with work to say it is work belies the basic purpose of our being here Send in your own haiku |
